ASSESSMENTS

Homework (paper and pencil, as well as Matlab based); design projects (first one requires mathematical modeling and

simulations using FORTRAN or C, or C++, and using Matlab, it involves selection of simulation parameters; the second one is

feedback controller design using Matlab; reports are graded for technical content in the usual manner and also graded for the

quality of the presentation of the solution); in-class midterm and final examinations (paper and pencil problems geared towards

measuring students' learning and ability to formulate and solve engineering problems)

TYPICAL GRADING

Homework 20%

Design projects 15%

Midterm exam 25%

Final exam 40%
