OSU promoted to a Premier Donation!

Agilent has provided OSU with Premier status for its ADS educational software donation. This provides OSU graduate students with access to the most recent and advanced ADS tools. Among other things OSU students will be able to use ADS within Cadence in our Unix (HP and Linux) platform as needed for our RFIC curriculum. For a complete list of the new advanced features with links describing these ADS tools check the following Excel spreadsheed . In addition our number of seats were upgraded from 10 to 20 Unix floating licenses.

ADS

Advanced Design System provides a CAD environment for the simulation and design of RF and microwave circuits as well as the simulation of complete communication systems. ADS features several schematic-capture simulators such as harmonic-balance, transient and envelope simulators for the synthesis, analysis, optimization and layout of microwave circuits (MIC, MMIC and RFIC).
This webpage is intended to provide a collection of useful information for OSU EE students using ADS.
Please contact the eda-users@ee user group as an additional ressource for non-trivial tool questions and configuration updates.

Agilent EEsof Knowledge Center! New 24/7 on-line support web site is now available for ADS users at:
http://www.agilent.com/find/eesof-knowledgecenter
This site provides a productive way to answer questions regarding ADS: check the FAQ's, download examples, check known bugs and download bug fixes.

Further technical support is also available from Agilent at eesof_support@agilent.com . Please copy Prof. Roblin (roblin.1@osu.edu) in your email to Technical support so that we can keep this local OSU documentation up-to-date. Thanks.
A list of common local problems with ADS and quick solution is available here: HTML link Please share problems and solutions for posting. Thanks.
