Tutorial: Automatic Layout Generation from a Cadence Digital Schematic



Before starting this tutorial, it is assumed that you have a working Cadence installation and the NCSU libraries set up. If you have not done this, go to Cadence Central at OSU EE before continuing. Make sure you also have the beta version of the NCSU Design Kit set up correctly.

  1. Create Digital Schematic
  2. Automatic Placement
  3. Silicon Ensemble Place & Route
  4. Re-Importing back into Cadence
