This page contains most of the documentation you might need to use
LaTeX2e on the Electrical & Computer Engineering machines. The most recent
version of LaTeX2e was released in June, 1998. Thus the ECE machines
are somewhat (quite!) out of date and some of the documentation
available here is therefore much more recent than the ECE version.
Both LaTeX2e and package documentaiton is available, along with sample
files, the current source code for the ECE
document classes, and documentation of the ECE classes.
For those of you reading this and not in Electrical
Engineering (which seems to be a growing number based on my email),
the source code for most of the ECE classes,
and more importantly the current OSU
Dissertation/Thesis format (the osudissert96 class), is available
for downloading.
For you Windows '95 users, I strongly recommend checking out
MikTeX.
It is an
excellent adaptation of LaTeX2e to Windows '95 and includes the
June 1998 release of LaTeX2e, packages, previewers, and just about
everything else you might need.
If you have suggestions or comments, or if you find additional
LaTeX2e-compatible packages which you feel would be of use to the ECE
department, please contact me.
If you have difficulties, check out the FAQ
for possible solutions.
Recent Changes to ECE's LaTeX2e Page
- 1998/11/02: Change to osudissert96! Made necessary modifications
to support co-advisors. Up until now, the title page didn't
conform to the grad school specs. I think it conforms now.
The documentation for the class has been
updated, and the new
source is available on-line. The changes have already been
placed on the ER4 machines, so if you are using these machines
there is no need to download the new source.
