About IEEE

Welcome to The Ohio State University IEEE Student Branch. Founded in 1884, The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers is currently the world's largest technical professional society. As a student member of IEEE many exciting opportunities are available to you. IEEE offers student members exclusive use of an online book purchase program, a convenient way to create a job profile to help in your search for a career, and many other services.

The student chapter faculty advisor is Paul Berger.

Mission Statement

The IEEE student organization helps students grow in the engineering process of creating, developing, integrating, sharing, applying knowledge about electrical, electronic, and information technologies, and sciences for the benefit of humanity and the profession. Locally, your student branch officers and faculty advisor are dedicated to creating opportunities for you to interact with the OSU faculty and the industry. Social activities involving students and faculty are organized to allow all Electrical Engineering students to learn more about each other and our professors. Information sessions occur to help students learn more about specific fields of Electrical Engineering and the type of careers that are available.
