Major Professional Services

In service to the professional community, the Analog VLSI Lab has played a leading role in the start and successful continuation of the following activities:

1991: Debut of the Journal of Analog Integrated circuits and Signal Processing, Kluwer Academic Publishers. The journal started in 1991 with 4 issues per year and has grown rapidly to 12 issues/year in 1999.

1994: First International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems (ICECS) was held at the Nile Hilton Hotel, Cairo, Egypt, December 19-22 1994. In 1996 ICECS became the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society's Region 8 Conference.

1997: First International Analog VLSI Workshop was hosted by the Analog VLSI Lab and was held on campus of the Ohio-state University in May 1997. The Conference is sponsored by IEEJ of Japan.

1998: Debut of "The Chip", a new column in the IEEE Circuits and Devices Magazine.
