Betty Lise Anderson

Prof. Anderson has been at The Ohio State University since 1990. She obtained her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Electrical Engineering at the University of Vermont in 1990, and her MS from there as well in 1998, Before graduate school, she worked in industry for nine years, including Tektronix, Inc., C.S. Draper Labs, and GTE Laboratories. She earned the BSEE at Syracuse University in 1978. Her technical area is photonics. See the research page for more details. Before engineering, she was a teacher at an experimental elementary school for two years. She is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the Optical Society of America, and SPIE (Society for Photo-Instrumentation Engineers).
