Spring 2009 Syllabus
Department's Standard Syllabus

Notes:

Homework #1, due 4/08/09: 2.20, 3.10, 3.26, 3.41, 3.55, 3.56, 3.79, 4.12 (extra credit: what is wrong with prob 4.12), 4.45, 4.54, 4.61
Homework #2, due 4/15/09: 5.3, 5.13, 5.24, 5.28, 5.34, 5.47 (note typo, "R5" should be "Rs"), 5.62, 9.13, 9.20, 9.22, 9.27 (note, I reported the wrong numbers in lecture on 4/8/09)
Homework #3, due 4/22/09: 9.25, 9.29, 9.36, 9.40 (see e-mail, 9.40 will not be graded in detail), 9.43, 9.51, 9.66, 10.2, 10.10, 10.13
Homework #4, due 4/29/09: 10.31, 10.33 (the voltage sources in the schematic have their reference directions flipped, so use the diagram as is but Vee=-4v and Vcc=-12V), 10.35 (only do parts a-b of 10-35, if you do c-d before the solutions are posted it is 1 pt extra credit, c-d will not be on the tests), 10.37, 10.38 (will not be graded in detail), 10.41, 10.42, 10.45, 10.46, 11.5, 11.7, 11.9
10.31 hints- (1) the question might be better phrased "...as seen between B and ground, for the circuit to the left of the transistor", i.e., your equivalent ckt will include R2 (2) Vcc is DC, so what do the capacitors look like?
Midterm 1, 5/1/09: click here for the rules NOT in our normal room- instead, in Knowlton Hall 250 (it will be during normal class time)

Final Grades, indexed by student number (as written under your name on MT 1 or via e-mail). Good skill in your pursuits and have a great summer

Note 1: Be sure to turn in "neat" homework, i.e., all pages stapled, final answer circled, etc. or you may lose points.

Note 2: The book has several typos, so be aware as you read and check your work.

Lego logic gates for the mechanically inclined.

As per discussion in class on 4/9/09, I have revised the syllabus and added "Your lowest homework score will be excluded from the calculation," of your homework grade.

Q: I could not find the homework solutions online. Are you sure you have posted them?
A: As I mentioned in class and in the syllabus, solutions for all assigned problems will be made available in the main office (front desk in Dreese Labs 205).
