Personal Biography

I started finding my place at Ohio State when I was born at The Ohio State University Hospital
in the wee hours of the morning following an Ohio State football victory over U. of Michigan. Both of my parents are Ohio State Alumni and even met at Ohio State. My mother took graduate courses at Ohio State while I was young; I attended as well. I grew up a mere three miles from the main campus and went to an elementary school on the edge of the medical campus. My high school commencement was even held on the Ohio State campus in the Mershon Auditorium. The fact that Ohio State has an outstanding Electrical Engineering Department made it an easy choice for my undergraduate career.

During my five years as an undergraduate, I had the opportunity to do more than just study. I was also involved with the Boy Scouts through the Council's rappelling program. I was an Honors Student and an active member of Mirrors, Chimes, and Sphinx honorarires. I was also an active member of the Ohio State Chapter of IEEE, Eta Kappa Nu Ohio Gamma Chapter, Kappa Theta Epsilon Epsilon Chapter, and Tau Beta Pi Ohio Gamma Chapter.

In addition, I was, and am, an athlete. For four years, I rowed for the Ohio State Crew, representing my alma mater on a national level. I am perhaps the only rower to ever have competed in all four men's varsity catagories for eights: J.V. Lightweight Eight, Lightweight Eight, J.V. Eight, and Varsity Eight. In addition to rowing, I also enjoy running, cycling, and basketball.

In the Winter of 1997, I earned a B.S. in Mathematics from the College of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, then in the Spring of 1997, I earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. As a graduate student, I was an Industrial Fellow, a Teaching Assistant, and Research Assistant in the Department of Electrical Engineering at The Ohio State University. I did my thesis and disseration work with Dr. Steven Bibyk in the Information Electronics Group in the area of Mixed Signal Design Methodologies. I completed my Masters Degree in the Summer of 1999 and finally completed my Doctorate in the Spring of 2006.

I am presently working for Kenet, Inc, a small start-up company in the Boston area. We design high-speed mixed-signal/analog products.
