Celestial wisdom
 
 
The academia is an interesting environment, and so is the universe!
Therefore, it is not surprising that certain analogies exist between 
the two. Here is one such analogy - essence of celestial wisdom!
Here we present this analogy in some detail.
….Graduate students are analogous to satellites, they mostly
congregate around planets.
….Assistant professors are planets, they are enlightened by stars.
….Associate professors are of several kind:
…….. Stars, and stars must shine!
…….. Binary stars: two associate professors together, hard to figure
 out the dynamics,
…….. Red giants: stars that have had better days,
….Professors:
……..Black holes: they absorb everything in sight, No star should be
 near a black hole!
……..Super novae: A lot of hot transparent gas,
……..Quasars : Very bright, turning around and making lots of noise,
……..Crab Nebulae : Grab onto anything nearby, and hold onto.
……..White Dwarfs: Dense compared to stars, of low luminosity, with
 integral energies used up, and with lots of degenerate matter and
 of high temperature and low brightness.
……..Brown dwarfs: (name not settled as of Oct 2000) ,very low mass, 
 drifters with no direct stellar ties, never amassing enough material 
 that cause real stars to shine. They are often confused with stars or
 planets (latter source: The New York Times Science section, Oct 11,
 2000 ).
