The
drought hit hard in April,
the
only solace in daffodils!
wet
eyes and deluge of tears,
none
left! watered the daffodils!
The
drought lingered on long,
set
fire to the land, and soul,
plenty
of wet tears to douse,
none
left! watered the daffodils!
You
didn’t put the fire out,
your
heart is still burning,
could
have used your tears!
none
left! watered the daffodils!
The
daffodils wilted in May,
the
orange fire rages and burns,
the
drought lingers, and tears,
none
left! watered the daffodils!
