The lament is part of the process of mourning, and is

relatively speaking, a less painful stage of dealing with loss and separation.

No doubt, the melody of the Reed is full of beautifully

expressed lament. Beethoven’s third movement of opus 106 – piano

Sonata # 29 is also a lament.
