John Hu was born in the People's Republic of China (PRC). His official Chinese name is 胡岸乔, transcribed as Hu An Qiao (pronouced: chow) according to PRC's pinyin system.
Between July and September 2009, he collaborated with technical staff from TI Norway in studying the feasibility of DC-DC converter for wireless transceiver SoC.
In Spring 2008, he joined his adviser, Prof. Ismail and Prof. Elgamal in giving remote lectures to students majoring in wireless communication at Nile University, Egypt.
