Teaching
John Hu is not a GTA this quarter.
He co-instructed ECE 694I: Introduction to Integrated Circuits Test and Measurements with Prof. Ismail and Dr. Mike Park in Spring 2009. It was a new course (senior elective, also open to graduate student) sponsored by Texas Instruments. The course aimed to de-mystify the role of testing in industry and better prepare our undergrads to be qualified test engineers in future. He led a pioneering team (2 PhD, 4 MS, 1 BS) in developing appropriate lab sessions for the new course.
In addition, John has lectured several other courses at undergraduate (U) and graduate (G) level, for ECE major and other major students, all in his research field of Electronics. He also conducted two international remote lectures with Prof. Ismail to Neil University, Egypt for professional students in Spring 2008.
He received his teaching certificate in Winter 2007. He attended FAB&E 810: College Teaching in Engineering to study literature and research relevant to teaching and learning in engineering in Spring 2008.
He is an active member of ASEE: American Society for Engineering Education since 2009.
