ACAS-FOT Image-Based Lane Identification/Location
The following information was sent to me by Lisa Hamilton:
I. Oct 13, 1999
I'm having a '96 Buick LeSabre put together now with speed,
yaw, and some camera equipment. I expect the yaw sensor
to be an Andrews Autogyro Navigator E-Core fiber optic gyro
(I think Andrews Corp has since changed to KVH Industries).
The update rate for both speed and yaw will be 100ms. I'll
send detailed specs later.
II. Oct 16, 1999
I was leaning toward an Elmo MN401E (1/2" Color CCD) with a 15mm lens.
I also have a black and white Elmo which seems to be a little more
sensitive in lower light, but it has no shutter speed adjustment or
AGC. I couldn't find specs on Elmo's website (www.elmo-corp.com) for
this older model, but I have paper specs for the camera and lens that
I will scan and send to you Monday morning.
The camera will be mounted as close to the center of the vehicle, and
as high as possible (above/behind the rear view mirror). As soon as
I know the location more specifically I'll let you know. (We just
got the car on Thurs, and I haven't seen it... it's in MI).
III. Oct 18, 1999
In the FOT Vision Buick we plan to install a
1/2" color CCD camera with a 15mm lens.
elmo_mn401e.zip and elmo_lens.zip contain specs
for the camera and lens. Any comments? If you
think you need something else, please let me know.
