Electromagnetics I
Spring 2007
Summary: Transmission lines, including impedance, reflections on
transmission lines, Smith chart. Pulses in transmission
lines. Introduction to static electric and magnetic
fields, including currents, Ohm’s law, resistance, inductance, capacitance,
dielectric and magnetic materials.

Prentice-Hall (either 4th or 5th edition)
Prerequisite: ECE204 or ECE205, Math 415, and
acceptance as an ECE major (or permission of instructor).

Homework: ~weekly. Assigned Friday and collected
