  1. Introduction to antenna parameters and theorems: far field, radiation pattern, directivity, gain, effective aperture, reciprocity, etc.
  2. Antenna equivalent circuit, self and mutual impedances.
  3. Review of linear wire antennas
  4. Aperture antennas I: Waveguide and horn antennas
  5. Aperture antennas II: Reflector antennas
  6. Microstrip antennas
  7. Frequency independent antennas
  8. Topics on antenna design and pattern synthesis.
  9. Introduction to moment methods for antenna analysis.

 

 

Grading:

Based on homework and course projects.
