Travel Instructions
     
  • The Conference hotel is located on Longboat Key, one of the islands just off Sarasota.
  • You can reach the Conference location by flying either to Tampa or Sarasota airports. The first is over an hour, the second about fifteen minutes away by car. There are direct flights to Sarasota from various major airports (e.g. Atlanta), do fly in if you can. But it is probably not worth flying from Tampa.
  • We will supply a map and instructions to those of you renting a car to drive from Tampa.
  • We will rent a van to transfer arrivals at Tampa airport once on Thursday afternoon. Make sure you let us know your arrival information well in advance (ozguner.1@osu.edu). We will have to charge a nominal amount to cover cost.
  • The van will do one transfer run to the CDC hotel in Tampa Sunday afternoon. Again, let us know if you will need this service. We could repeat this on Monday and Tuesday, if you are staying longer.
  • Call the hotel for pick-up from the Sarasota airport. If you send us arrival information, we can try to meet you there too.
