Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) touches nearly every part of our world phones, transportation, clean water, power, medical devices, satellites to measure climate change, cybersecurity, microchips. The ECE applications are endless.

Ohio State’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has an excellent academic and research reputation not only among peer programs, but also from industry and government research facilities.

The graduate program prepares students for technical leadership roles in industry, academia and government. The training provides students with a fundamental understanding of engineering sciences so that graduates can develop creative and innovative approaches to solve important engineering problems of interest to mankind. The program offers degrees leading to either a master of science or doctoral degree in electrical and computer engineering and there are many specializations to choose from.
