James Park places third in IEEE Radar Conference paper competition

James Park
James Park, a doctoral student in electrical and computer engineering and graduate research associate at the ElectroScience Laboratory, received third place in the 2012 IEEE Radar Conference’s student paper competition. RadarCon 2012 was held May 7-11, 2012 in Atlanta, GA.


The award-winning paper entitled, “Software Defined Radar Studies of Human Motion Signatures,” was co-authored by J. T. Johnson, N. Majurec, M. Frankford (Ohio State University) as well as E. Culpepper, J. Tenbarge, J. Reynolds, and L. Westbrook (Air Force Research Laboratory). 

Park is from South Korea where he earned his BSEE in 2007 from Konkuk University. He is advised by Joel Johnson, professor of electrical and computer engineering. His research interests include remote sensing and microwave sensors.
