Two from ECE make Reuters 2015 highly-cited research list

Nine researchers from The Ohio State University made Thomson Reuters’ 2015 list of Highly-Cited Researchers, including two from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE).

ECE professors who made the list include Ness Shroff, Ohio Eminent Scholar in networking and communications, as well as Heshem El Gamal, professor of information theory, coding and wireless communications. The two were highlighted in the 2014 list as well

According to the Ohio State Office of Research, inclusion "is considered a measure of the worldwide impact and influence of an individual’s research."

Selected researchers have produced a large number of reports that rank among the top one percent most cited for their subject field and year of publication.
