Last day: K-12 Engineering Outreach crowdfunding campaign blows past goal

Goal met!

Over the entire month of May, a crowdfunding campaign sought to raise $3,500 to keep The Ohio State University's K-12 Engineering Outreach Program going strong in the years to come.

Since 2008, the team of students and teachers involved in the program has reached thousands of young and underserved school children, inspiring them toward careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

However, would the Ohio State community support this endeavor?

Within several weeks of the crowfunding campaign start, the $3,500 goal was already met.

"Our goal was $3,500 and you've donated $4,170, or 119% of our original goal," program director Betty Lise Anderson said. "That will buy even more magnets and batteries, so we can do even more of the projects that the kids get to keep -that seems to be really, really important."

There are just a dozen hours left to show support and reach the program's second campaign goal of $5,000. Help us end this campaign strong.
