Recent ECE grad earns top research honors in Boston

An Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) graduate student took home top research honors in Boston this fall.

Dr. Feiran Lei, a Ph.D. graduate student of ECE Professor Marvin White, was awarded a plaque for the Best Student Paper at the IEEE 60th International Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems (MWSCAS -2017), held at Tufts University, August 6-9, 2017 in Boston, MA.

The paper was entitled, “A Low Noise, Inductor-less, Integer-N, RF Synthesizer Using Phase-Locked Loop with Reference Injection (PLL-RI)”.

The field of research is Radio Frequency (RF) Integrated Circuits.

Dr. Lei graduated from Ohio State in 2017 and is presently a Senior Engineer at Integrated Device Technologies (IDT) in Wofford, MA.
