Ohio State ECE alumnus Wibawa Tjokrodiponto Chou's career is notable because he is highly proficient in the application of high-power semiconductor devices for automotive electrification. He contributed to the design of power electronic systems of the first mass-produced electric vehicles, defining the future roadmaps of silicon and wide bandgap semiconductor devices. Chou researched new power electronic circuit designs and topologies to enable the most efficient and cost effective power conversions.

The alumnus earned his BSEE in 1994 and his MSEE in 1997, both from The Ohio State University. His field of study focus was High Voltage Power Systems.

Today, Chou is at Infineon Technologies America, El Segundo, CA.  where he is the Director of Automotive High Power Application and Innovation Engineering.

Previously, he was with International Rectifier Corporation, El Segundo, CA  (2001) as a Technical Marketing and Application Engineering. He also served as the Principal Engineer at Emerson Network Power, Delaware, OH (1997).
